Nothing gets done in the world of education without collaboration. We've had an exciting week in the planning and prep of our urban farm. Yesterday, Gregorio and I met with the director of KSTM's Middle School Learning Center, Ms. Reed.
We shared with her our concept of the urban farm at our building. Ms. Reed was extremely excited and open to the ideas that we brought to her. She also brought her own ideas of collaboration to the table. In the end, we are excited to bridge a connection between the classes that are taught during the day and our wonderful after school program.
Today Mr. Gregorio, Mrs. Garcia and I pitched the idea to Mrs. Christopherson, our principal. She was both excited and receptive to our plan. She opened our eyes to some additional things to consider. All in all, it was a positive, productive meeting.
We still have our work cut out for us in the planning and implementation of our urban farm. However, we have wonderful people who are willing to help and guide us on our journey.
